Making history since 1867

The Club Atlético del Rosario (CAR) is responsible, since the beginning of Argentine sports, Venue of PSL 2018 the great satisfaction of having initiated and contributed to the practice and dissemination of many of them. He has participated, with his positive influence, in the foundation of federations, unions and associations that over the years were formed in the country to organize the national sporting life.
The mother sport of all of them is cricket, which gave rise to the founding of the first two Argentine clubs, today the  Buenos Aires Cricket and Rugby Club  and the  CAR .

The Club was founded on March 27, 1867, under the name of  Rosario Cricket Club , by gentlemen of British origin occupied mainly in the construction of the Rosario-Córdoba railway. The  CAR  had its first sports field in the block that currently occupies the San José de Rosario School, limited by Salta, Presidente Roca, Jujuy and Spain streets. In 1889 the current "Plaza Jewell" was inaugurated, named in gratitude to its donors,  Mr. Eduardo and Mr. Carlos Jewell (Photo) , and which can be considered today as the oldest sports field in the country.

The CAR began with the practice of field hockey

In 1930 the  CAR  began with the practice of field hockey, corresponding to the ladies the enthusiastic and uninterrupted task of spreading this sport, both in Rosario and in the rest of the interior of the country Pakistan super league teams 2018 .
